These are the most frequently asked questions about this destination. With this information you will know the basics and will be able to take full advantage of your time. Please, don´t hesitate to contact us—we are here to offer you our best advice and make sure you get the package you need, because yours is a unique trip and it should be an unforgettable one.

1- Are the Hosterias (Inns) downtown Villa La Angostura?

Most of them are located in the surroundings, by Lakes Nahuel Huapi or Correntoso or near them.

2- Why choose Villa La Angostura as a destination?

Because it is a dreamy place, where the hosterias are small and atended by the owners, where you can enjoy the warmth of the local people, the magnificent landscapes and a good rest.

3- Is Villa la Angostura easy to combine with other destinations?

Yes, it is easily combined with San Carlos de Bariloche and with San Martín de los Andes through the Seven Lakes Route during summer. By air, you can combine it with El Calafate – Lago Argentino, and therefore with the rest of Patagonia, even Chile. You can also take the International Lakes Crossing to combine it with Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas, in Chile. That excursion is included in our webpage.

4- What is the best time of the year to visit Villa La Angostura?

There is no such thing as a “best” time. Any time of the year is different and has a particular charm, like winter for snow sports between July and September; or spring with beautiful views and activities like trekking; summer for water sports and adventures, and fall with a wonderful coloring.

5- Do we need to make reservations in advance?

Yes, mostly depending of the season. High season is during the winter and in the months of January and February. For those times we recommend to make reservations three months in advance, at the very least.

6- Is Cerro Bayo close to Villa La Angostura?

No, it is located 6.2 miles from the village. There is no lodging in its base. The mountain has almost 494 acres for skiing, with a slope of 0.43 miles. There is a spectacular view of Lake Nahuel Huapi from the top of the mountain.
